Located north of downtown Kuopio and over 460 km from Helsinki Central Station. You can use trains and the bus station, which are very close to the area.

The station currently has three platform tracks. Passenger trains run on Track 1. Track 2 is used for trains to Tampere, Kouvola and Helsinki. Track 3 operates, but not for passenger trains.
If you head south, the next passenger traffic stop is Suonenjoki. If you head north, the next stop is Siilinjärvi.

When you get your ticket, you can wait for your train in the open waiting room available to all passengers.
Service Not Available
Unfortunately, Kuopio railway station does not currently have train parking space where your car could travel with you. If you wish, you can go to Helsinki Central Station, where this service is offered, or to another nearby railway station.

No Luggage Storage Available
Unfortunately, Kuopio railway station does not have luggage storage facilities where you can store your belongings during other activities. Therefore, we recommend that you always carry your luggage with you. This way, when your train arrives, you can immediately board without losing your belongings.
If you need assistance, you can request it at the station. The assistance point is located on the ramp at the main entrance. The point itself has no roof, but escort traffic can access it.
