Pori Railway Station
This is one of the railway stations located in southern Finland, specifically in Pori, in the Riihiketo district. Additionally, the station has a hub for buses that operate throughout the city. Pori railway station has direct connections to Helsinki and Tampere. In fact, there are 17-19 train services per day. The railway system has two platform tracks, with access to track 2 via a portal tunnel.
Most passenger trains use track 1, except for 3 trains that generally use track 2.

Previously, it was possible to buy VR tickets. However, nowadays tickets can only be purchased from ticket machines. These are located inside the station. See our detailed guide on Finnish trains here.
Once you have your ticket, you can wait for the train in the open waiting room. This is available Monday to Saturday from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM and on Sundays from 6:50 AM to 9:00 PM.
Another option for buying train tickets is the VR Matkalla app. Available on App Store for iPhone and Google Play for Android.

Service Not Available
Some Finnish train stations have a car loading service on the train available. This way you can take your vehicle with you on your trip. However, Pori station does not offer this service. If you want to use this service, you can use Helsinki Central Station or another station that offers parking on the train.

No Luggage Storage Available
Unfortunately, the station does not have luggage lockers. Therefore, it is essential that you have your belongings ready so that when the train arrives you can board the train with your luggage on site.
If you need assistance, you can request it at the station. The assistance point is located on the left side of the station’s main entrance, near the bus parking. Note that the point is not covered, although escort traffic can approach it.
