As for routes and accessibility to the station, platform 1 and the station itself can be accessed from both ends of the building. For tracks 2, 3, and 4, you need to go to the end of the station, right next to the pedestrian bridge. For tracks 5, 6, and 7, you need to go to the opposite end of Turku station.

Track Interruption Between Turku and Kupittaa
Since August 2022, the Railway Administration has been carrying out track work between Turku and Kupittaa. For this reason, service has been interrupted on this section.
In fact, trains to Helsinki arrive and depart from Kupittaa station instead of Turku station. However, trains between Turku and Tampere still run smoothly.
If you plan to travel through the aforementioned places, set aside some time for planning taking into account the aforementioned information.

Parking at Turku railway station is usually expensive, but many factors affect prices. For example, the duration of parking, date and time affect the parking price. The location of the parking area also affects the price. Turku railway station has both indoor and outdoor parking, and both are convenient if you want to park close to the station. The minimum charge is €0.50 per parking space. This parking area is the P-Logomo parking area and the closest to the station.

As you can see from the table, the parking price increases as parking time increases. Day parking is relatively reasonable, but overnight parking can be expensive.
However, there are some ways you can save on parking costs at Turku railway station. For example, you can use discount coupons or special offers that can reduce your parking costs. It’s also possible to park for free near the station, but this can be challenging as parking spaces close to the station are usually full.
If you don’t want to pay expensive parking fees, you can also consider other ways to travel to Turku railway station, such as using public transport, walking, or cycling. Turku railway station is well located in the city center, so it’s easy to reach in several different ways.
Turku car trains currently have space for vehicle loading. If you want to use it, consider the following:
Car Train Loading Requirements
- You must arrive at least 30 minutes before loading time starts. Opening hours are 7:00 PM – 7:30 PM
- You must hand over your car keys at least 30 minutes before car loading. They are left in a drop box inside platform 5, at the station building door
- You must print your ticket and attach it to the keys. You can write information about the owner (name, phone number, departure date, departure station, destination…) and the car itself (model, make, registration number…)
Once you’ve used the service, you can pick up your car keys from Avis car rental, which is located at Turku railway station. It’s open Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
On weekends, you can request the keys directly from the car loading staff. They can be reached from 9:20 AM to 10:45 AM at 029 434 8063.
If you’re going to rest during the trip, go to a restaurant, or somewhere else, you don’t need to take your luggage with you. Leave it in the storage locker at Turku railway station.
