Vantaankoski station is a station that is part of one of the most used routes in Helsinki and its surroundings and has a direct connection to the airport. It’s only an 11-minute journey to the airport, so it’s very close. This makes it a very busy and heavily used station.

Two lines currently run through this station: Line I and Line P. The P line connects Helsinki city center to the airport. The I line makes a heart-shaped loop through Vantaa, Myyrmäki, and Huopalahti, among others.

For example, in this case, if we go from Vantaankoski station to Helsinki Central Station, we need an AB ticket, which costs €3.10. Because this station is located in Zone B. And on the other hand, the capital’s main railway station is located in Zone A.

Parking

There’s a parking lot nearby that belongs to the station, and therefore you get a big discount on its price. Just a 3-minute walk away. On the other hand, 10 minutes away there’s another paid parking area that we wanted to include in case you have problems with the first parking area and it’s full. Although it’s not common, at times of high mobility to the point, it can happen.

This station does not have luggage storage. Although we wish there were more storage lockers for suitcases or other luggage, the reality is that this option is only available at a few major long-distance train stations. And so in this case, we’re not lucky enough to have this option.
