Hyvinkää Railway Station
This is one of the railway stations on the Helsinki-Riihimäki line in Hyvinkää. Hyvinkää station is actually the highest railway station on the Helsinki-Riihimäki line, 111 meters above sea level. Near the station is a post office (previously inside the building) and the Hyvinkää local transport bus station. Hyvinkää railway station is primarily a stop for local trains on the main line’s R, D, and T lines. Mainly services to Helsinki run on track 1, while track 4 goes to Riihimäki.
There are also other trains without a platform that are used for longer journeys. These are tracks 2 and 3. Track 5 is not used.
With these trains you can of course travel all over Finland. Hyvinkää has connections to Helsinki and Karjaa. Through Riihimäki you can also reach Tampere, Lahti, and Kouvola.

If you want to know train arrival times at Hyvinkää, below are different links where you can check them. It’s very important to use different websites, as sometimes some of them may be outdated.

Another option for buying train tickets is the VR Matkalla app. Available on App Store for iPhone and Google Play for Android.
Once you’ve got your ticket, you can wait for the train in the open waiting room. This is an ideal space if your train is still hours away. You can also do other activities such as visit museums or restaurants. Please note that the waiting area is open Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturdays from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

No Luggage Lockers Available
Unfortunately, Hyvinkää railway station doesn’t have lockers for storing luggage, so don’t carry them with you while waiting for the train. Therefore, we recommend that you take your luggage with you before your train’s arrival and when it arrives.
If you need help, you can request it at the station. The help desk is located on the Rautatienkatu side of the station building, right in front of the taxi stand. Please note that there is no roof over the point, and drop-off traffic can arrive next to it.
