Usually larger railway stations have a car service on the train, i.e. you can take your car on the train. Unfortunately, Jämsä railway station does not have this option, so we recommend that you go to the main railway station (Helsinki) or some other nearby station that offers this option.
If you have important luggage with you, we recommend keeping it close to you, as the station does not have luggage storage space when you are out in the city, in restaurants, museums or other places.
No Luggage Lockers
Unfortunately, Jämsä station still does not have compartments or lockers where you can store luggage or other items during other activities. So take your belongings with you so you can board the train as soon as possible when the train arrives at the station.
Station Assistance Service
Although Jämsä Railway Station does not have an assistance service that would make it easier for people who need it to get around, the station has some interesting adaptations that offer more freedom. The platforms are high and access to the low-floor train is barrier-free, making it easier to board and disembark from the train.
